15 Feb Silvertip Lodge & Cabins – Going into their 4th Season
Silvertip Lodge & Cabins, operated by Jeremy (co owner/guide of Alaska Drift Away Fishing) and his wife Andrea, are headed into their 4th season! Alaska Drift Away Fishing was ecstatic when Jeremy and Andrea purchased the lodge. Having an in house lodging option for our clients greatly increases your experience and ease of trip. 2/3 owners of Drift Away live on site and are always willing to answer questions.
There are many perks to staying at Silvertip Lodge & Cabins, but one of the best is convenience without sacrificing tranquility, Silvertip Lodge & Cabin‘s 6 cabins are nestled on 8.5 acres of old growth forest on a beautifully maintained private property giving guests the sense of being in remote Alaska while only 5 minutes from Soldotna you have quick access to grocery stores, restaurants, and sporting goods stores. Soldotna is centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula allowing you the most efficient access to many activities that are available. 15 minutes is the average travel time to the Kenai River access points where you will meet your guide for fishing. World-class halibut fishing is only a 45-minute drive, while access to our fly out service is 5 minutes away.
Since acquiring the property Jeremy and Andrea made 2 significant changes. The first is a beautiful venue for campfires. Nothing is better than spending the evenings around a cozy fire pit sipping on your favorite beverage while sharing stories and laughing during our beautiful summer evenings. Feel free to bring your own s’more ingredients also!
The second brings value and convenience to your trip, a fish processing room. Save money by processing your own fish in their new freezer processor room. Deposit them into your cabins’ reserved freezer space and don’t think about it again until it’s time to leave! Their vacuum sealers are commercial grade and they provide bags at 50 cents/bag (66% cheaper than dropping it off at the processor).
Each cabin offers 1-2 bedrooms with full kitchen, bathroom, wifi, and bbq grill (perfect for cooking your fresh catch). On-site coin op laundry is also available. This set up is perfect for groups of any size including couples, family, friends, and big groups of up to 30.
