Alaska Drift Boat & Float Fishing

There are many ways to enjoy the amazing and vast wilderness Alaska has to offer. There is perhaps no more relaxing an adventure then Alaska drift boat fishing. Right away you’ll notice the peace and quiet we enjoy as we gently glide through the water, meandering our way down river.

Alaska drift boat fishing has gained popularity in recent years, and for good reason. It provides a more peaceful fishing experience, where you feel much closer to nature and are not disturbed by noisy boats and their wakes. This isn’t good for jet skiers or speed boat enthusiasts, but it is great for fishermen and women. Drift boat fishing also has far less impact on the natural habitat, therefore ensuring there will be plentiful fish for years to come. On the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers, we run 20 foot Willie Drift Boats. Our boats are equipped with outboard motors, which we use only to motor back up the river for another drift. Generally, though, we simply float down the river, rowing into hot spots and allowing clients to throw a line in the water either from the boat or on shore depending on the section of river you want to fish.

There should be more to your epic Kenai sport fishing trip then just catching fish, and Guided Alaska Fishing Tours is willing and able to see that you get it. From our fun and enthusiastic guides to our top of the line rods and gear, to the absolutely mind blowing fishing spots, your head won’t stop fishing even once you’re off the river.

Our Drift Boats

We use Aluminum 'Willie' Drift Boats as they are well built, safe and durable. The Boats we use are 20ft long by 6 ft wide and are roomy enough to hold four fishermen and their guide without feeling crowded. There is plenty of storage space and our boats are very comfortable, an important factor when you think you'll be spending many hours in one.
